  • I don't know what the technical cause would be, but it is almost certainly an issue requiring repair. ________________________________ From: TrkNTrlrMan To: BCD396XT@^$1 Sent: Fri, October 19, 2012 5:16:02 PM Subject: [BCD396XT] What the heck???? • When you are scanning, it turns the channel group assigned to GQK 2 in the current system on or off. In hold mode, it turns on the search you've assigned to sr2 on. Guy: Sorry, I didn't make it through the entire email. But, when F(unc) is activated, the scanner does not move off of the current system. If you miss the system when you hit F, you can scroll back to it (F will stay...

  • http://info.uniden.com/twiki/pub/publish/usingpreloadedsystems.html Note, however, that the preloaded system is several years old and may not still be accurate enough to actually work. ________________________________ From: hb_mcmillan To: BCD396XT@^$1 Sent: Sat, October 6, 2012 8:14:43 PM Subject: [BCD396XT] Messed up I have so messed up my BCD396xt. • I usually break Fort Worth TRS into several systems...putting actual Fort Worth TGIDs in one and different towns or areas of Tarrant County in others. ________________________________ From: Guy Teague To: BCD396XT@^$1 Sent: Wed, September 26, 2012 8:39:25 PM Subject: Re: [BCD396XT] Re: Static version of Twiki manual Was: out of space already? thanks again paul. it's a lot of...

  • For your application it would work better to assign Fort Worth to SQK 1 and Arlington to SQK 2 (SQK = System/site Quick Key) rather than using startup keys. ________________________________ From: gteague To: BCD396XT@^$1 Sent: Tue, September 25, 2012 5:06:10 PM Subject: [BCD396XT] new feature startup quickkeys behavior? in transitioning from the 396t to the 396xt, one of the new...

  • Based on the error message (and thank you for providing a complete error message), you have a UBCD396XT (Australia version). You cannot apply the firmware update to that model. ________________________________ From: alan To: BCD396XT@^$1 Sent: Thu, September 20, 2012 12:27:02 AM Subject: Re: [BCD396XT] Re: Firmware Update Released I moved the Com port to 1 and the rate to 57800 and...

  • I guess I don't understand the question. Mobile/fixed location doesn't affect how quick keys work. ________________________________ From: Jeffreyinberthoud To: BCD396XT@^$1 Sent: Fri, August 31, 2012 9:17:19 PM Subject: [BCD396XT] system quick keys I appoligize sure ists been asked before I have had my 396XT since day 1 and have always programmed with the ARC XT program love the...

  • Location is precise. However, if you have a ton of stuff set for GPS control, you should note that GPS checking is secondary to actually scanning. This can cause latency like what you are seeing. If you are truly far away from some of the areas and not likely to be driving into/out of their ranges, you could disable their SQKs so that the location check algorthm will ignore those...
