I don't think it's worth it even at $200 off considering it's nothing more
than a re-branded GRE in a cheap plastic Rat Shack case. Even at $299 they
should at least get a power supply and USB cable! The case is the same used
for many other RS scanners and the paint rubs off with use, even minor
scratches show the case isn't molded the color you see looking at the
scanner, ie: it's painted just like many of the recent Rat Shack HH
scanners. The plastic is also soft allowing for easy scratching and
cracking..... How they even sell any at $299 is beyond me. Digital
performance on an area P25 system is no better than the 396T and it lacks a
lot of things I like in the 396T like FTO. I also don't think it sounds any
better than the 396T. It just isn't worth the $$ for what you get (and don't
