GreekFeet is pleased to announce our Winter Greek Party with Turlu and added
treats to start the party with Aya, Greg and Friends, PLUS Leslie, Lucia and
Lily singing acapella. You are invited to come and enjoy this special
evening of great music and dancing at the beautiful church of St. Gregory of
      Nyssa.

Come early at 7:00 to listen to Aya, Greg and friends, sip some
retsina, enjoy a koulouraki (Greek butter cookie), share in the company,
meet the bands, or tour the church.

At 7:45 pm, you will be enchanted by the beautiful voices of Leslie
Bonnett, Lucia Comnes and Lily Storm, all former members of Kitka.

Then get ready to have some serious fun to dance from 8:00pm til 11:00
      pm to Turlu.

      Door prizes at intermission.

TURLU plays folk dance music from the Southern Balkans. Turlu means mixture
in Turkish and the term is also found in both Greek and Turkish cuisine as a
baked vegetable dish. The name symbolizes the vibrant cross-cultural aspects
of this region. For the Winter Greek Party, Turlu will specialize in mostly
Greek, with some Armenian and Turkish music.

Note: Dan Ziagos is in the midst of moving down to San Diego at the end of
December, so this is also the last known Turlu gig while Dan lives in the SF
Bay Area (though we all hope to have future Turlu gigs when Dan visits up
      here).

      Turlu and Friends are:
      ============ ====
      Nuri Bal - percussion
      Leslie Bonnett - violin, vocals
      Hudi Brenman - accordion, clarinet
Shea Comfort - laouto, clarinet & duduk
      Lucia Comnes - violin, vocals
      Michael Matthews - clarinet
      Lily Storm - percussion, vocals
      Dan Ziagos - accordion

At ST. GREGORY OF NYSSA CHURCH, we dance under the rotunda of the Dancing
Saints Icon. The Dancing Saints Icon is a 2,300-square- foot iconographic
mural depicting 88 saints from many eras, cultures, and faith traditions. It
has gained national recognition as a significant work of American
ecclesiastical art in recent years and draws countless visitors to the
church. Please visit www.saintgregorys.org/icons/ to read more about this
      project.

Please don't miss this evening of Greek hospitality, music and dance.

For more information, contact Mary Ann Karonis at makaronis@earthlink .net

Sponsored by GreekFeet, where you can Greek dance every Monday night at the
      Presidio Dance Academy.
