FW: Damage to Bat World Sanctuary in Mineral Wells
I’m forwarding in case anyone can contribute any small amount to help repair the hail damage done to Bat World Sanctuary in Texas two weeks ago. Here is the link to make a donation to Bat World Sanctuary, and every contribution directly helps the rescued bats at Bat World Sanctuary and the 30,000 wild bats over in the Wild Sanctuary building as well: http://www.batworld.org/donate/donate.html

Subject: Damage in Mineral Wells
I do not know how many of you are aware of what happened last night in Mineral Wells but there was 100 mph winds with baseball and grapefruit size hail that pelleted the entire city. All 15 police cars (it was on the news) had all of their windows broken out of the cars. The Walmart had all of their skylights broken and massive amounts of rain poured in which means there goes Amanda's local store for supplies. Of course, the damage hit the wild sanctuary and the indoor building (BWS) so now both roofs are trashed. I happened to be on the phone with Amanda when the hail storm hit MW and I could not believe the noise that came over the phone. I could hardly hear Amanda. The deductible on each building is $2,000. So BWS is now $4,000 further in debt and our printing costs for the quarterly newsletter are still outstanding.
Please, if you can just give up eating out once or whatever it will take to throw some money in Bat World's direction, please, we all need to do this. We really do need to help out. Any other suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Please, dear friends, we need to make a difference to Bat World in an extreme time of need.
Hugs to all-
