  • Hi Christoph, Thanks for reviewing the object properties. I would agree that the Tracking_Value should be read only because only the internal algorithm can know how the output is being controlled. I don’t agree that Instantaneous_Power (or the Power property) should be read only. It is possible that the measurement comes from and external source and is updated periodically...

  • Hi BACneteers, Here is an updated version of DHR-021 (Binary Lighting object type) for discussion at the LA-WG meeting in Denver next week. There are a few things to discuss before this document gets moved up to the SSPC again. Hope to see you in Denver, Best Regards, David Ritter

  • <> Hi everyone, At the last meeting in Atlanta it was mentioned that there may be a need for a binary lighting output object. To that end here is a proposal for a BACnet binary lighting output object. The object is based on the Lighting Output object as defined in Addendum i and essentially converts that object to a binary version. The result is a much smaller and simpler object...

  • <> Hi All, Here is the latest draft for the BACnet lighting output with the changes incorporated from the LA-WG conference call last week. We still need to deal with the OVERRIDDEN issue for startup/reset. Please take some time to review this document as I believe we are getting close to have a draft ready for SSPC review in Montreal. We want to make sure that all the spelling...

  • Thanks for the response Steve, The problem I have with using the OVERRIDDEN flag is contained in the statement “the physical output is no longer tracking changes to the Present_Value property”. Using “no longer” implies that the physical output is not changeable by writing to the present value when in fact this is not the case. We may be able to slightly change the...
