Subject: Light Control at Dept. of EnergyHi Mr. Steve KargI found your name thru the BACnet.org Web Site where you are listed as the convener of a Working Group specializing in the use of BACnet for lighting control. We are a high-tech commercial company and are currently working with Department of Energy (DOE) under a technology development project. The goal of this project is to reduce energy consumption by flexible, intelligent, programmable network control of fluorescent lighting. I am enclosing a short summary of our projectfor your reference. We have made good progress in Phase I of this project and are currently putting together a proposal for continuing the work in Phase II with DOE sponsorship.
My goal is to find a consultant who can provide industrial expertise in the real-world issues associated with lighting control under Bacnet and/or other industrial standards, as well as sensor interfacing issues. From the BACnet.org Web Site, we thought that you may be the best candidate to approach. If, for any reason, you are unavailable for this type of work, perhaps you know of someone on the BACnet WG with the requisite level of expertise.I appreciate any help you can provide. Look forward to your responseBest Regards,Dr. Freddie LinChief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President, EngineeringBroadata Communications, Inc
