Group Description

The Barclay Area Civic Association represents the "quality of neighborhood life" interests of 1860 Barclay Area families in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. These interests include: improving the quality of Cherry Hill's public schools, protecting local property values, enforcing zoning and planning laws, reducing crime, the efficient delivery of high quality municipal services, maintaining a healthy environment, enhancing recreation and open space opportunities, and reasonable property taxes.

The Association advocates its members' interests to the Mayor, the School Board, Town Council, Planning Board, and Zoning Board. The Association sponsors a "Meet the Candidates Night" before each municipal election and published a newsletter several times each year. The Association holds at least one annual membership meeting to elect officers and directors and other meetings as the need arises.

The Association's members reside in the area bounded on the north and east by Route 70 and Interstate 295, and on the south and west by Kresson and Brace roads. This includes the Brookmead, Old and New Barclay, and Hunt Tract areas, as well as several smaller developments.

All Barclay Area residents are welcome to join. Membership dues are $10 for a two year term.
