I remembered someone coming to pick up the baronial feastware for eventual delivery to the baronial couple at or before investiture, but they never got it. I also remember asking this list if anyone had the pottery, and I got no responses. I was upset and puzzled, and I worried that our baronial couple would have to make do with something less-than-ideal at their own investiture.

But while I was out of town, someone left the box of pottery with one of my neighbors. The person didn't leave a name, and the neighbor doesn't speak enough English for me to ascertain for sure who it was, or even the person's gender or general description. But anyway, the pottery made it back to me. Thank you, whoever you are, who returned it! You're my hero.

I'm intending to be at either this month's barony meeting or next month's meeting -- when and where are they? -- so as to deliver the set to Baron Henry and Baroness Nadezda personally, so there'll be no more mix-ups. In the meantime, I was glad to see that another set, with the actual barony device on it, was also gifted, so they didn't have to eat off paper plates at the investiture.

I can't make any more events until after I've handled my real life, which means finding and buying a house. We're hoping for January (though, we were hoping for September, and you see how well that worked out). In the meantime, I can either bring the pottery to next month's meeting, or I can deliver it to... um, I guess you, Etienne, as the quartermaster, yes? I could bring it by this evening, or next Monday the 27th, or sometime in October -- not the other days, as we're about to hit Sukkot.

My guess is Etienne won't be very available, as he and Sarafina have just welcomed Robert Darin into the world and into their family.  Welcome to our newest member of Ayreton!!

Mazal tov to the new parents!

So, who's acting quartermaster while Etienne is adjusting to fatherhood? Where is all the baronial stuff stored RIGHT NOW, because that's probably where this stuff should go, too.

It is my proud pleasure to announce the birth of Robert Darin DesRoches at 7:29PM Sunday September 19th. A huge 9 pounds, 1 ounce and 21 inches long. Mother and son are fine and should be home by Thursday. Father may get his feet back on the ground sometime next year.
