Latest Reenactorfest Information
I spoke with the director of Reenactor Fest this morning. Here is the latest information.
1. There will be no "Pas", no fighting. There will, instead, be bagpipers. Pay no attention to the schedule on the website.
2. The 20 folk on the SCA booth staff list are to be let in for the $5 site fee on the day they are working the SCA booth. The SCA Information Booth is the replica 14th Cent Flemish merchant booth (it looks kind of like a lean-to on steroids) with a blue-and-white striped awning. It will be set up in the foyer, I presume near the entrance/ticket table to the Fest.
The 20 people are (and I gave the director these names, so don't confuse them with other names):
Friday: Etienne (3-4), Mihri (4-7)
Saturday: Kate & Erik 9-12), Hilla Hammasdottir (12-1), Francesca de Marmandy (12-2), Arrienne Ashford (1-5), Cerian Cantwr (5-6)
Sunday: Anne of Walton Wood (9-2), Lisa Menkhaus (11-12)
Breaks: Calibrid ine Tere, Marie la Fauconnier, Metylda nic Lochlainn, Elaine Ladd, Xavier, Tabitha Pennywarden. All "Break people please check in with the SCA booth staff on the days you are at the fest and arrange breaks for lunch, potty, and walking around.
Fighters: sorry, since there will be no fighting, the kind gentlefolk (Sir LOGOS, Patrick von Brandenburg, Dycon, Gintaras, and others) who volunteered to be in the "Pas d'Armes" will not be needed and are not on the list of $5 site fee people.
Thank you all again for your time and effort. It is hoped that the Shires and Province will supply contact information to give to prospective recruits, and that local chatelains will supply sone fliers, handouts, etc. to provide to interested persons.
If you have questions, Maggie and I will be merchants in the Fest hall as "Celtic Sun".
Is mise le meas,
Alexander de Seton
