Group Description

Ayecha aims to facilitate the development of sensitivity and understanding between Jews of various distinctions, through affirming the importance of each individual Jew in the fulfillment of our collective Jewish destiny.

Ayecha develops and directs its projects with the assistance of an advisory board of esteemed Rabbis and community affiliates, in the United States and Israel, who are willing to support Ayecha's efforts at increasing awareness and sensitivity and relieving the issues facing born and converted Jews of Color in the national Jewish community.

Our current projects include:

An informational database of supportive community organizations, synagogues and schools across the nation that have agreed to partner in providing support and resources to diverse Jewish populations.

The production of a "Sensitivity Curriculum" that will enable teachers, in schools and community organizations across the country, to teach sensitivity as an integrated component of Torah values and Jewish education.

Mentoring opportunities and tutoring resources for young and mature students.

Dating opportunities for diverse Jewish singles.

The development of an Ayecha relief fund.

Networking opportunities for businesses, and personal/social connections.
