- Dec 30, 2018ProRes is a variable bitrate codec so it makes sense for a Matte content encode to be small.But I pray you are using HDCAM Sr and not regular HDCAM as the tape source. Regular HDCAM is 3:1:1 sampled so you are compromising quality.
