V&A study day: Riche Robes & Stuffes – a ce lebration of Medieval and Renaissance Dress, 13 March 2010

Booking is open and the programme is up for 'Riche Robes & Stuffes – a celebration of Medieval and Renaissance Dress',
a V&A study day jointly organised by the Medieval Dress and Textile Society (MEDATS) and the Costume Society on Saturday 13th March.
Explore the rich and fascinating world of European dress and textiles using the sumptuous examples and the tapestries, parade armour, and embroidered vestments showcased in the V&A’s magnificent new Medieval & Renaissance Galleries. Talks will range from those examining materials and techniques to others discussing the social and cultural context for particular styles and items. The day will also examine the processes of creating the new galleries.
