able to arrange a holiday to fly over on a budget Airline to come and
take part - here's the Dates confirmation I promised for "Winchester Pilgrimage" this
year - a weekend at the unique, historic-buildings'-complex survival of the Almshouse & Hospital of St. Cross
Lord Raphe Cuthbert, Shire Seneschal, writes
Greetings to West Dragonshire.

Further information to tempt interested gentles into attending an event outside of their comfort zones - -
The Master & Brothers who actually live onsite- are unobtrusive "Site Managers" who really welcome us.
The Site has an unbeatable period atmosphere!
Where else in the Known World could you expect to attend Court and enjoy Feast in a 14th-Century Hall, almost untouched by any modernisation? Only the discreet electric lights are anachronistic; and the Site Owners are happy for us to enjoy our Feasts by candelight. We are even encouraged to use the centuries-old tables and benches.
Where else in the Known World could you be entertained after Feast by Society singers and musicians from a medieval Minstrels' gallery - a real one, not a replica!?
Where else could you be allowed to sleep in original medieval rooms used by medieval pilgrims?
Where else could you still get the Pilgrim's Dole of bread and beer - thus continuing a
tradition more than 700 years long?
And where else in the Knwon World would you be invited to attend Sunday Morning Service on-site [ if you wish to do so] in a lovely medieval Church in your period garb?
The Site's official website including many lovely pictures - is to be found at
and there is a good wikipedia article to be found at
The event will include not only a "demo " Pas d' Arms on the Saturday afternoon, but may also include West Dragonshire's traditional "Summer Tournament"
In Service to West Dragonshire, Insulae Draconis, and Drachenwald,
