Submissions for survey and review articles are invited for a new online
journal covering all areas of Religious Studies, launching in 2007.

      African Religions
      Ancient Near East
      Indian Traditions
      Chinese and Japanese Traditions
      Religion in America
      New Religions
      Theory and Method

Launching in 2007, Religion Compass is an online-only journal offering a
new kind of core content. Articles are not research papers, but
authoritative, peer-reviewed introductions to recent scholarship for the
non-specialist, covering the entire discipline. Religion Compass guides
students and scholars through the accumulating body of literature, and
navigates the field by laying out the territory, describing divisions
and subdivisions of Religious Studies and identifying the major issues
within those sections. Religion Compass provides an introduction to new
fields, overviews of unfamiliar topics, and a familiarity with latest
      scholarship and debates.

      Religion Compass offers authors:

      * Fast publication, typically 8 weeks from acceptance of final version
      * a citable, peer-reviewed article, with a permanent URL
      * a wide, international audience through a global medium
      * a free PDF off-print of your article
      * free individual access to the site

If you would like to submit your article to Religion Compass, please
send an abstract for your article in the first instance to: Professor
      Tamara Sonn, Editor-in-Chief Txsonn@... <mailto:Txsonn@...>
