Attacking someones source, even if it is an online and not considered by
academics to be completely reliable source, is not something to be argued
strenuously. Now, to argue strenuously about a specific point in/on a
source or if the source has been declared unfit by reliable scholars (such
as Peacock's books on clothing and costuming which are regarded as being
highly unreliable and are not used for clothing or costume research by
anyone of scholarly merit at this time) that is perfectly acceptable.

So, in summation, stop defending or promoting wikipeda - people on this list
seem aware of it's problems. If someone wishes to use wikipeda for a
source, please read the entry to which they are referring (since everyone
has email, everyone has access to the internet and can do this) before
jumping down someones throat that the citation is bunk and find other
sources to refute or support what you wish to discuss.

      Smiles,
Despina de la if someone posts a source and a link to it (any source that
can be linked), follow the link and read the source before engaging in
discussion or speaking ill of the source
