Group Description

This is a private, not advertised mail group to facilitate development of HSMM-MESHâ„¢ Technology.

The core group is in Austin, TX. There is significant activity in a number of states and even other countries. New areas and additional groups of users are joining all the time.

The web site is hsmm-mesh.org (recently renamed to broadband-hamnet.org) and is very active with ham, government, military and educational groups all watching our progress. Info on the web site is available to read just by visiting the URL. Over 2000 users have registered to post information in the forums section. We feel this is a tiny subset of total web site users.

The Big Bend Ultra Marathon HSMM article made the cover of the July 2013 edition of QST magazine.

John Champa the first ARRL HSMM Working Group chairman, ten years ago held up a "dream copy" of QST with HSMM on the cover. John, K8OCL is now a Silent Key. We are glad to carry on his work and remember his early HSMM efforts.

HSMM-MESHâ„¢ Relay system gets live video of remote finish line over 11 miles to viewers in Rio Grand Village. Look for related article in the July 2013 edition of QST magazine.
