Thanks for the photo Bill. Mine do look similar, but they have extra holes in them, so I think they were changed at some point. I will take a closer look thismy1948a40
That is the point exactly Bill, and I believe you probably get a more accurate match going by eye with the books than trying to use an updated version of a 65formosacoup
Please welcome our newest member from Sweden, who is restoring an Austin A40 Sports. Bill Wilkman California, USAwilkmanracing
This is is a global group of dedicated Austin enthusiasts. Many own restored vehicles, whilst some are plodding along on restorations. Whatever the state of your car (if you have one) you are welcome regardless. You don't even have to have a car at all; it's just the interest that counts!
Many of us have Austin County model cars. These are the Austin cars named after Counties in England. They include, among others, the A30, A35, A40 Devon, A40 Somerset, A70 Hereford, A70 Hampshire, the Atlantic and the A40 Sports... Are there any we have forgotten??? Is so, let me know about it. Anyway, we cover all these models - and more!
We are interested in all cars that fly the Austin banner!
Anyone is welcome to join; only please keep it clean and green!
If you have had some adventure with your car, or have some story to tell about your restoration efforts please let us hear of it.
If you need help with a restoration problem, just ask, we have over 200 members ready to help.
If you have photos, you can load them to the photos section and place them into a folder with your name on it.
Do you need a part or have parts to offer others? Let us know.
Happy Austineering! . :-)
