Group Description

"Audrey Hepburn Swan" is as far as is known the only talking Mute Swan in the World!

Audrey and Cyrus are two real Wild Feral Mute Swans that inhabit the waters of City Island, Bronx New York USA!

This Mute Swan may be the first to speak to Humans in history..

Her Mute Swan family is now in Grave Danger from the poachers who have shot and killed her sister Cygnesa and her mate Cyggy with arrows!

One day in March 2002, I met these two lovely Swans paddling around and begging for food.

She had no feathers on her long neck and looked malnourished.

Her plumage was yellowish and the apexes of her feathers had fallen off.

I gave them some bread and they came back every day for more!

I fed them in the morning everyday.

Bread, Corn Muffins, Fries, they loved it!

Every morning Mario and Vincenzo, who are fishermen came down the dock and saw me feeding my Swans and greeted me a loud "Good Morning!" and I said the same back to them.

One morning after a few months it happened again and the Pen or female Swan actually spoke and said "Good Morning!"

At first I couldn't believe what had happened!

I thought that maybe I was seeing or hearing things.

But she spoke a second time!

Now I have witnesses and they know!

She is identifiable by Yellow-Greyish - Blackish feet.

Never touch Swans, they hate being petted and will bite you because they think you are attacking them!

A hissing sound means "No" or "Don't" or "Bad" and a Grunting and mumbling sound means "Yes" or "Good"!

Cyrus is now vocalizing as well, but cannot pronounce words.

That is how they speak to each other.

This is a real image of Audrey The Speaking Mute Swan of City Island, Bronx, New York.

Stay away from the nest of Swan eggs or Cygnets as they will attack you if you go too close!

Now their children/cygnets are beginning to speak.
