  • Apparently this was the design that became the first Crealock doubleended cruiser. http://www.westsail.org/_experts/crealock.html I alwayhe look and philosophy espoused in their ads; I never got close to one though. • Actually it was Baycruiser who was going to look for it; I'm living in Austin now. • When I was in Port Isabel there was only one travel lift in town and it was in a yard you reached by turning left a few streets before the lighthouse if you were traveling towards the island on the main drag. That seems to be it in the picture but it seems awfully empty. I think the name might have been B&H Marine, or not:-) Mike Dolph --- In AtkinBoats@^$1, "Ivan Ogburn" wrote...

  • It didn't look wide and chunky enough in the picture but I think after looking at it you have a "Martha Green", if so it's got a chesapeake style deadrise bottom and I think it's considered one of the best practical Atkin's designs. All the rest of the looks seem to fit Martha Green and you can look at the plan if you follow the link at the top of the home page and look her up by...

  • Just as a first guess it might be Esther though it seems to be missing some flare in the topsides forward. • Assuming your photo is number 17 in the "photos" can you tell us where it is pictured and more about it? What leads you to believe it's an Atkin design? Any details might help Mrs. Atkin to place it. Is it V- bottom, round hulled, what kind of frames, cabin and accomodations details? I can see it's got a Texas number, where in Texas is it now? • John, I think you made a little mistake posting the new pictures of Huckleberry Finn. Under the pics you have the plans prices at $45.00. Clearly a typo/fatigue error. Just the same it would be an awesome chance to learn a lot about constructing steel barges. I'd try to turn those props with two small diesels and make maybe 6 knots. Thanks for the pictures, this is something I've...

  • Sargeant Faunce looks great and would be very nice with a "bird watcher" cabin with drop boards fore and aft as I plan to do with Russel R. I would make a combination step and engine cover in place of the sliding hatch shown to isolate the engine noise a bit. She should be effectively self righting with those changes which would compensate for any fears about how narrow she is, not...

  • I just ordered a copy from Mystic Seaport, thanks for the info; I had no idea he had published that anywhere else. Even if offsets are not included just the description is worth the money and the other small boats are gold, too. I've ordered a too expensive digital camera and given notice at my apartment in San Antonio. I'll stay up to two months with my daughter in Austin and if...
