      In the 63rd edition of Chapman's there is an example of a USCG plate that says "7 persons or 900lbs". That's less than 130lbs per person. A few "dudes" out for a bit of fishing may cause serious overloading w this standard. I do recall (correctly or no) that in small aircraft design 170lbs was standard. But of course small boats should have a problem w capacity because, after all ther'e small.
