Does anyone know anything of the WW1 internment camp at Mashbury Camp, Essex.
Theodor Cserwenka/Cservenka, originally of Vienna is supposed to have been interned there, June 1914-October 1915, before being released. He was listed as 'motor mechanic'.

It is said that the records of the camp no longer exist but it is possible that a fragment survives referring to Theodor C.

It has been said that this was 'the Jewish Camp'.  What, if anything, in the circumstances of 1914-15 could such a statement mean?

Are any other Austrians known to have been interned there? or Viennese?
Has anything been published about this camp?

I would be grateful for any information.
