453.275, or 453.675? Did you catch a PL tone? Or a cross street on
El Mirage PD dispatches for Youngtown PD, and they both use 460.250
(192.8 PL) primary and 453.275 (107.2 PL) car-to-car. Peoria PD had
both in their radios at one point, not sure about now. Peoria does
provide animal control services for El Mirage. It's possible one of
the animal control officers may have been talking to an El Mirage PD
453.675 (162.2) is Peoria PD's channel 7. Peoria had both 453.675 and
458.675 in use on simplex before Phoenix put up their 450-6 repeater.
And kept 453.675 simplex active afterwards. Still licensed on both.
Back in the late '80's, when Peoria had both VHF and UHF mobile
radios in their cars, they had 158.940 as their 'channel 2'. I think
it was limited to supervisors use.
158.835 is supposed to be one of Phoenix PD's surveillance channels.
One of four that I've seen with color designators, although I don't
know where my list of those is right now. (The frequencies are
listed, but the colors aren't listed in the SWFD8.) Maybe Phoenix was
working something over here? The again, 87th Ave also runs through
the Maryvale precinct of Phoenix. I've never heard anything but
intermod on any of them.
