    Good morning, Gabrielle -

I hope this email finds you doing well!

Attached below is a sexting curriculum that's out of Texas, but was modified for Connecticut by CYSA, CCA and Fran Carino; I'm sending it along so you can share it with the LIST.

    Thank you!

    Jaquita

Attached you will find the much anticipated modified "Before You Text Curriculum" with CT specific law!!!! Thank you to Leon Smith and Fran Carino for making this happen!
    *         As you will see in the email below from Fran, you will find the PowerPoint presentation of the curriculum attached to this email along with a teacher's guide with answers to the program completion test that you will find at the end of all the modules.
    *         Also in the email below you will find a link to print certificates of completion (if you choose to use them) for those who have successfully completed the ENTIRE curriculum (all the modules).
    *         As I have mentioned before, this curriculum can be used in a variety of venues to fit a variety of needs.  It can be used as a part of a JRB case plan, it can be used as a YSB program, it can be used in the schools, and it can be used in other community agencies.  The possibilities are endless!!!
    *         Anyone can teach this curriculum and it is meant to be used as either a full curriculum, or module by module, depending on the needs of the population being served.
    *         Fran, Leon and I are in the process of scheduling free training sessions for those interested in gathering some additional information. Training will be scheduled for a 2 hour block. The plan is to go through the modules and answer questions, as well as discuss some of the CT specific laws and questions that may arise while teaching certain sections.  The training is NOT mandatory, but is something many people have said they would be interested in it.
    *         Those trainings will occur in February (or early March).  We are aiming to have 3 sessions that will take place in 3 regions.  We are looking at the Bridgeport area, the Norwich area and the Middletown area.  Please watch your email for information coming soon on registering for this free training.  Registration will be handled by CYSA.
    *         The hope is that LIST Leaders will forward this out to their LIST members, as well as schools and anyone else who may be interested.  CYSA will also send this out to all of its YSB members.  Some people may get this email more than once, but want to make sure we can saturate as much as possible so we can begin using this helpful tool!

Please let me know if you have any questions (for me, Fran or Leon) and I look forward to seeing many of you at one of the trainings and then hearing about how people are using this tool!
Thanks and have a great weekend!

Attached is the final version of the sexting program. The last few pages are a test that can be given to measure the retention of the students. A separate "Teacher's Guide" with the answers and some comments is also attached.

The program refers to a Certificate of Completion that can be earned after finishing the program and taking the test. Such a certificate is available at https://www.pinterest.com/pin/303218987386840396/.
