Subject: Leadership Transition at Citywide Youth CoalitionUpdates from Citywide Youth Coalition
Dear Coalition Members & Partners:
After over 6 years of supporting the work of the amazing youth organizations in New Haven, and expanding youth voice and decision-making, I have decided to resign my position as executive director of Citywide Youth Coalition.
This decision reflects my need for new and different opportunities.
I have been honored and supported by the relationships that we've shared and the powerful work we've done together -- expanding collaboration, supporting professional development, bringing the community together, and raising young people in a positive developmental way.The Board of Directors and I have mapped out a transition plan:
- A Transition Committee shall support my close-out (eff. 5/8/15), recruitment and on-boarding of an interim director and knowledge transfer.
- A Search Committee shall conduct a full search for a new executive director by the end of this summer, at the latest.
Let me ask one final favor:
- Continue to work together. Continue to support the Coalition as a vehicle for doing so. Build our courageous community in which all youth can succeed. One way is to share the RFP for the new interim director now.
When we change a child's life, we change the world. In ways we may never know.
Thank you so much for everything.
Always,
Rachel
P.S. I have not determined my next job yet. I'm focusing on a good closure & transition for the Coalition. I'm sticking with New Haven. This is a job change for me, I'm still deeply invested and committed to our community.
Take Action
