      August 7, 2007 Michael Cifrese, 82, of Fayetteville, died at Veterans Hospital on Tuesday. Born July 21, 1925 in Morristown, NJ, Mike was the son of the late Frank and Mary Oliva Cifrese. He graduated as valedictorian from Morristown High School and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He retired from United Technologies Carrier Transicold where he was an engineer. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, where he also volunteered at their Senior Luncheons. Mike enjoyed golf, bowling and gardening and volunteered at the Fayetteville Senior Center. Mike will be remembered as a kind and caring man. He was predeceased by his first wife, Hilda Giordano Cifrese; his brothers, Vito and Frank; and his sister, Rose. Survivors: his loving wife, Gloria; his stepson, Jeffrey and his partner, Daniel; a brother, Rocco (Nikki) Cifrese; two sisters, Peggy "Anne" (Joseph) Endler and Frances (James) Giordano; and
      several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, Fayetteville. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. There will be no calling hours.
