Residence: Sarasota, formerly of East Haven, Conn.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a Masonic service at 6 p.m., at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel.
Services: 9 a.m. Wednesday at Church of the Redeemer-Episcopal in Sarasota. Interment with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
Survivors: Survivors: Daughters Carole Younkman, Shirley Fieber and Patricia, all of Sarasota, and Georgia Robertson of Tampa; a son, David L. of Melbourne; a sister, Margorie Rotteck of Derby, Conn.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
When moving to Sarasota in 1955, Mr. Fige started his own automotive business along with his love for farming raised cattle, horses and citrus. He was a 60-year Mason, a member of Sahib Shrine Center and a member of Church of the Redeemer-Episcopal.
