        Herman ADER, 77, died Sept. 27.
        He was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Germany. An Army veteran of World War II, he
        was a furrier and a resident of Henderson.
        Services will be at 9:20 a.m. Monday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial
        Cemetery. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.

        Jack BASS, 79, died Thursday at a Las Vegas hospital.
        He was born March 31, 1922, in Philadelphia. An Army veteran of World War
        II, he was the retired owner of a dry-cleaning business, an eight-year
        resident of Las Vegas and a member of Jewish War Veterans.
        He is survived by his wife, Claire; son, Steven; both of Las Vegas;
        brothers, Herman of Marlton, N.J., and Kenneth of Mount Laurel, N.J.; and
        three grandchildren.
        Services will be at 11 a.m. today at King David Memorial Chapel followed by
        burial at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. The family requests memorial
        donations be made to the Judith Wikler Memorial Scholarship Fund, 143 Lost
        Ball Court, Henderson, Nev., 89074.

        Peter C. "Rusty" BOWMAN, 44, died Oct. 18 in Medford, Ore.
        He was born Jan. 25, 1957, in Seneca Falls, N.Y., and was a 22-year resident
        of Las Vegas.
        He is survived by his mother, Betty Peterjohn of Las Vegas; father, Frank of
        Tracy, Calif.; sister, Cheryl Engro of Las Vegas; and brother, Dan of
        Missoula, Mont.
        Conger Morris Funeral Directors, Medford, handled arrangements.

        Tommy J. CARVER, 65, died Tuesday.
        He was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Mount Holly, N.C. A Marine Corps veteran, he
        was the owner of drywall company and a nine-month resident of Las Vegas.
        He is survived by his wife, Betty of Las Vegas; and son, Tommy of Gastonia,
        N.C.
        Burial will be in Mount Holly. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.

        Rosalie Ham CONKLIN, 80, died Sunday.
        She was born July 9, 1921, in Georgetown, Ill. A retired waitress in a
        restaurant, she was a nine-year resident of Las Vegas.
        She is survived by her husband, Clifford; daughter, Candace; both of Las
        Vegas; sons, Joe Novak of Pasadena, Calif., and Gary Mark of Palm Springs,
        Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
        Visitation will be one hour before services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the El
        Camino Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Palm
        Mortuary-Jones handled arrangements.

        Karen Lee CRAIN, 49, died Wednesday.
        She was born July 18, 1952, in Spokane, Wash. A housekeeper in a hotel, she
        was a 41-year resident of Las Vegas.
        She is survived by her daughter, Faun Ginac of Henderson; son, Christopher
        Ginac; mother, Faun Crain-Olsen; both of Las Vegas; and sisters, Colletta
        Mattern of Henderson and Penny Kleinknecht of Spokane.
        Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary-Eastern with
        graveside services at 2 p.m. Saturday at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

        Barbara EILERS, 64, died Monday at Nathan Adelson Hospice.
        She was born Dec. 22, 1936, in Athens, Ohio. A schoolteacher for a church,
        she was an 11-year resident of Las Vegas.
        She is survived by her husband, Larry of Las Vegas; daughters, Laurie Davis
        and Leslie Gilgen, both of Cedar City, Utah; sons, Larry of Las Vegas and
        Todd of Cedar City; sister, Linda Zakrzewski of Las Vegas; and seven
        grandchildren.
        Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
        The family requests memorial donations be made to First Good Shepherd
        Lutheran School Library Fund. Palm Mortuary-Downtown handled arrangements.

        Mart K. GARHARDT, 92, died Wednesday.
        He was born July 1, 1909, in Noblesville, Ind. An Army veteran of World War
        II, he was a retired carpenter for Local 1780 and a 66-year resident of Las
        Vegas.
        He is survived by his son, Charles of Henderson; and two grandchildren.
        Visitation will be one hour before services at 3 p.m. Saturday at Palm
        Mortuary-Eastern. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

        Angelina GIORDANO, 90, died Thursday.
        She was born Aug. 26, 1911, in White Plains, N.Y. A buyer for retail shops,
        she was a 26-year resident of Las Vegas.
        She is survived by her son, Frank of Henderson; daughter, Rosemary Brown of
        Lakewood, N.J.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
        Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Peter's Catholic Church followed by
        burial at Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home
        handled arrangements.

        Louise KURIMAI, 85, died Wednesday at a Las Vegas hospital.
        She was born June 26, 1916, in Waterbury, Conn. A retired saleswoman for a
        department store, she was a 28-year resident of Las Vegas.
        She is survived by her sons, John of Las Vegas and Dennis of Granite Bay,
        Calif.; and two grandchildren.
        Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m.
        until services at noon Sunday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Burial will follow
        at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

        Christopher "Rooster" LAWSON, 45, died Oct. 19.
        He was born March 21, 1956, in Las Vegas and was a lifetime resident.
        He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Winslow of Las Vegas; brothers,
        Willie of North Las Vegas and Floyd of Las Vegas; sisters, Earlie Johnson
        and Edna Smith, both of Las Vegas, and Vella Williams of Seattle; and a
        grandchild.
        Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at American Burial &
        Cremation Services followed by graveside services at Paradise Memorial
        Gardens.

        Paula Christine LEVIS, 31, died Monday.
        She was born April 2, 1970, in Las Vegas. A cashier for a restaurant, she
        was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas.
        She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Sue Temple and Raymond Temple,
        both of Waupaca, Wis.; father and stepmother, Ronald and Valette; brother,
        Ronald Jr.; stepsister, Lisa Bertram; all of Las Vegas; and stepbrother,
        Gregg Bertram of Henderson.
        Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bunkers Eden Vale Memorial
        Park. Bunkers Mortuary handled arrangements.

        Gertrud E. LIGAT, 69, died Wednesday at Nathan Adelson Hospice.
        She was born July 3, 1932, in Kiel, Germany. A retired insurance clerk for a
        medical office, she was a 20-year resident of Las Vegas.
        She is survived by her daughters, Marion Ettinger and Doris, both of Las
        Vegas; sister, Lotpchen Peukert; brother, Bruno Piaskowski; both of Germany;
        and a grandchild.
        Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until services at 1 p.m. Monday at Palm
        Mortuary-Downtown. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Park. The family
        requests memorial donations be made to the hospice.

        Bonnie MARTIN, 68, died Tuesday in New Mexico.
        She was born Feb. 17, 1933, in Texas. A homemaker, she was a former resident
        of Las Vegas and a member of the Moose Lodge and First Baptist Church of
        Belen, N.M.
        She is survived by her husband, D.L.; son, Dennis; both of Belen; daughters,
        Brenda Summers of Las Vegas and Dana of Belen; four grandchildren; and a
        great-grandchild.
        Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Palm Memorial
        Park-Northwest. Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society handled
        arrangements.

        David J. MONZO, 68, died Thursday at a Las Vegas hospital.
        He was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Philadelphia. An Air Force veteran of the
        Korean War, he was a retired maintenance worker in a hotel, a 42-year
        resident of Las Vegas and a former member of Society for the Preservation
        and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America.
        He is survived by his son, Michael Parker; mother, Marion; both of New
        Jersey; and sisters, Ann Fischetti of Pennsylvania and Fran Di Primio of New
        Jersey.
        Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Community Lutheran
        Church. The family requests memorial donations be made to the church music
        fund. Palm Mortuary-Henderson handled arrangements.

        Charles Joseph O'MARA III, 38, died Wednesday.
        He was born May 11, 1963, in Cincinnati. A foreman in manufacturing, he was
        a 15-year resident of Henderson.
        He is survived by his father, Charles II of California; mother, Dolores
        Busam of Chicago; stepfather, Jim of Henderson; brother, Michael; and
        sisters, Gail and Karen; all of Chicago.
        Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Bunkers Mortuary, where
        services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday. Burial is private.

        Visitation for Doris M. SHOCK, who died Oct. 19, will be one hour before
        services at 10 a.m. Saturday at 10762 Giles. Burial will follow at Palm
        Valley View Memorial Park. Affordable Cremation & Burial Service handled
        arrangements.
