Herman ADER, 77, died Sept. 27.
He was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Germany. An Army veteran of World War II, he
was a furrier and a resident of Henderson.
Services will be at 9:20 a.m. Monday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial
Cemetery. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Jack BASS, 79, died Thursday at a Las Vegas hospital.
He was born March 31, 1922, in Philadelphia. An Army veteran of World War
II, he was the retired owner of a dry-cleaning business, an eight-year
resident of Las Vegas and a member of Jewish War Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Claire; son, Steven; both of Las Vegas;
brothers, Herman of Marlton, N.J., and Kenneth of Mount Laurel, N.J.; and
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at King David Memorial Chapel followed by
burial at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. The family requests memorial

Peter C. "Rusty" BOWMAN, 44, died Oct. 18 in Medford, Ore.
He was born Jan. 25, 1957, in Seneca Falls, N.Y., and was a 22-year resident
of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Peterjohn of Las Vegas; father, Frank of
Tracy, Calif.; sister, Cheryl Engro of Las Vegas; and brother, Dan of
Conger Morris Funeral Directors, Medford, handled arrangements.
Tommy J. CARVER, 65, died Tuesday.
He was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Mount Holly, N.C. A Marine Corps veteran, he
was the owner of drywall company and a nine-month resident of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Las Vegas; and son, Tommy of Gastonia,

Rosalie Ham CONKLIN, 80, died Sunday.
She was born July 9, 1921, in Georgetown, Ill. A retired waitress in a
restaurant, she was a nine-year resident of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford; daughter, Candace; both of Las
Vegas; sons, Joe Novak of Pasadena, Calif., and Gary Mark of Palm Springs,
Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour before services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the El
Camino Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Palm
Mortuary-Jones handled arrangements.
Karen Lee CRAIN, 49, died Wednesday.
She was born July 18, 1952, in Spokane, Wash. A housekeeper in a hotel, she
was a 41-year resident of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her daughter, Faun Ginac of Henderson; son, Christopher
Ginac; mother, Faun Crain-Olsen; both of Las Vegas; and sisters, Colletta
Mattern of Henderson and Penny Kleinknecht of Spokane.

Barbara EILERS, 64, died Monday at Nathan Adelson Hospice.
She was born Dec. 22, 1936, in Athens, Ohio. A schoolteacher for a church,
she was an 11-year resident of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of Las Vegas; daughters, Laurie Davis
and Leslie Gilgen, both of Cedar City, Utah; sons, Larry of Las Vegas and

Louise KURIMAI, 85, died Wednesday at a Las Vegas hospital.
She was born June 26, 1916, in Waterbury, Conn. A retired saleswoman for a
department store, she was a 28-year resident of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her sons, John of Las Vegas and Dennis of Granite Bay,
Calif.; and two grandchildren.
