      The following site gives information on ancient Aramean gods with compound names. These names were found at the oasis of Tayma (Biblical Tema). There was also a Jewish community located at this oasis.

      The subject is important as you recognize the Aramean origins of the Hebrews. From the above site it is clear that many of their gods had compound names like the Biblical gods Yhwh and Ysra'el. There was a Minaean god with a similar compound name, Yisrabaal. Semites as Akkadians and Assyrians also worshiped gods with compound names.
