Greetings unto the Children and Parents of An Tir.

Their Excellencies Johann Matheusson and Francisca de Montoya of Glymm Mere, would like to announce a Youth Armored Combat Prize Tournament at Honey War, 2013.  The tournament will be held Friday, June 14th, 2013 at 7 PM.  His Excellency has made a Baronial decree that all participants in the Youth Armored Combat tournament must have an inspiration to fight for their honor, and it can not be someone they are related to.

The format of this tournament will be in a Poker Round Robin format.  Every contestant will face every other contestant in their age division:  Lion 6-9; Griffin 10-12; and Dragon 13-17.  Each division will have have a winner with the most victories.  There will be an over all Poker winner of the tourney determined in the following way:  Each time a contestant fights in a match, they are given a playing card, until everyone has 5 playing cards.  Once everyone has a full hand, when there is a victory, the victor shall “discard” a card from his hand, then blindly choose one card from his opponents hand, the opponent then gets the victors discarded card.  In the case of a Double Death, each contestant shall discard a card from their hand and give it to their opponent.  The tournament will go until every one has fought each other in their division, or at the minimum 10 rounds.  Once the Tournament has ended, the participant with the highest ranking Poker hand wins the over all tournament.  Once everyone has faced each other, but the tournament has not yet reached 10 full rounds, if a contestant has a Royal Flush at the end of the round, s/he can announce it, and the Tournament can be called early.

The Barony of Glymm Mere has some loaner gear, enough to handle a tourney with some trading out of equipment.  If you have your own gear, please bring it.  If you have extra gear, please bring it.  If you are a heavy fighter and do not mind loaning your gear out, please make it available for loaner gear for the bigger kids, especially helmets, since dragons are required to where heavy legal helmets.

We have scheduled this tournament for Friday Evening, so it will not be over shadowed by the adult War activities, so please come and watch the tournament and encourage our next generation of fighters, even if you do not have a child in the tournament.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to marshal, herald, or do water bearing activities, please contact the Tournament Coordinator Lord Jean-Pierre Colbert at hljpcolbert@....

Also a side note, the Glymm Mere Baronial Guard, the Beevarians, a proud group of Heavy, Combat Archery, and Rapier fighters are now accepting Youth Armored Combat fighters who would like to fight for their Barony.  If you would like to join the Beevarian Guard, please make your intentions known to their Excellencies at johnandheidiedwards@... or the Captain of the Beevarian Guard Lord Kolbjorn at guiberson@....
