Group Description

[Note: this group has gotten so slow, I've shut down posting features. It's now archive only. ]

Children learn as an innate aspect of who they are and what they learn is inextricably linked to their perspectives and perceptions. This is the core of radical unschooling, a key premise of which is that parents and children can learn and grow together as partners.

The list is geared towards describing how this partnership works with younger children whose developmental needs and challenges can be significantly different than those of "school aged" children -
although participation and input from families with older radical unschooling children are also welcome.

Using the term "radical unschooling" is intended to help let
people know that the discussion will expand to all aspects of living with kids - not merely academics but topics such as sharing, sleep, housework, electronics, and food will be dissected in an unschooling light every time they are brought up.

Please take some time to read the list and refer to the list guidelines under "Files" before posting. The discussion style here is very direct and focused on unschooling and on the perspectives of children, which is sometimes a shock at first!
