      On July 31, 2013, at approximately 9:15 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7400 block of Piney Branch Road for reports of an attempt stolen auto. Some time between July 30 at 8:00 pm and July 31 at 9:00 am, an unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal the victim's vehicle by breaking the front passenger side door lock to gain entry into the vehicle. Once inside, the suspect(s) broke part of the steering column and ignition to attempt to steal the vehicle. No property was taken from the vehicle.

      Investigation continues under case #13035732. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301-270-1100.

        On December 8, 2013, at approximately 7:05 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 1300 block of Elson Place for reports of an attempt stolen auto. Some time between December 7 at 10:30 pm and December 8 at 7:00 am, unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal the victim's vehicle. The suspect(s) punched the ignition in an attempt to steal the vehicle. The victim left her vehicle parked in front of her residence and discovered the next morning that it was moved about 50 yards from where it had been parked, left in the middle of the road, and involved in a front end collision with a neighbor's vehicle.

        Investigation continues under case #13059054. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please call us at 301-270-1100.

          On September 17, 2014, at approximately 8:15 am, Takoma Park Police responded to the 100 block of Lee Avenue for reports of an attempt stolen auto. Unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal a vehicle some time between September 16 at 6:00 am and September 17 at 7:10 am. The suspect(s) used a screwdriver to defeat the door locks and attempted to pop the ignition, however, the attempt was unsuccessful.

            On September 19, 2014, at approximately 4:40 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue for the report of an attempt stolen auto. Unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal a vehicle some time between September 18 at 3:30 m and September 19 at 4:15 pm. The suspect(s) used an unknown type tool to gain entry through the driver's side lock and punched the ignition in an attempt to steal the vehicle.
