Age of Sail is a list dedicated to naval wargaming for the period before 1890. This includes ancient naval warfare up to, but not including, the Sino-Japanese and Spanish-American Wars. These 2 wars should be included with the 20th. Century, the ships fit there much better. The emphasis is miniature gaming, but board gaming and computer gaming is included. When you get right down to it most, not all, board games can be used for miniatures, just as long as each counter can be used to represent 1 ship. Sometimes you just need large hex playing mats.
