I commend your efforts on this research, we all need to redouble our efforts in improving conduct and practice of researches and getting involve in seeking research grants is a good start.
We need to build local alliances for ophthalmic and vision researches in order to strengthen each other. This will ensure our relevant researches are initiated and conducted by us not by others.

Subject: [AfricaVision] OUTCOME OF PAEDIATRIC CATARACT iNITIATIVE PROPOSALDear All,A group of Ophthalmologists from different African countries mostly in the sub-saharan region put together a proposal in response to the paediatric cataract initiative call for proposal for a grant previously discussed on this forum. Our proposal was not chosen for sponsorship. It was however a good attempt at writing for a grant. We hope to use other opportunities that may come up in the future to consolidate on the experience. Thank you for encouraging a proposal from the region.
