Group Description

Accelerating Productions

Improving the Way We Look at the Future(SM)

A network of folks interested in producing groundbreaking low-cost and free visual media that help people think more deeply, intelligently and critically about our accelerating future. This is mostly a documentary and educational film group, but also includes people interested in futures projects in other types of films, in online worlds (Second Life), dynamic web content, graphical presentations, and audio.

AP is a subgroup of the Acceleration Studies Foundation (ASF), http://accelerating.org, a nonprofit dedicated to improving scientific, technological, business, and social activism dialogs in a world of accelerating change.

ASF has no budget at present for film production, but this is a priority for us in coming years as our organization grows. In the meantime, please join this list if you are interested in working with us when a project becomes available.

Feel free to use this list to share things involving the intersection of futurism and mass media production: what you are doing in that space, what others are doing, etc. Please no commercial emails. You can set your Yahoo Group preferences to "Special Notices" if you only want to receive messages on future ASF film and rich media projects, but no other list traffic.

Interested in joining? Send an email to mail{at}accelerating{dot}org, stating who you are and what you'd like to do with the ASF team, then after we've chatted you can signup here for future emails related to ASF media production opportunities. Thanks!
