Join us for Humane Lobby Day on February 13

The Humane Society of the United States is proud to present the
      following upcoming events!

      1. Free Lobby 101 Trainings: January 22, 23, 25
      2. Humane Lobby Day at State Capitol: February 13
      3. Monthly Meetup groups

      1. Join The Humane Society of the United States for a FREE Lobby 101
      seminar!

You don't have to be a professional lobbyist to get involved with the
legislative process. If you have the desire to help animals and a
little time to learn the basics, you can be an effective voice for
animals in the halls of your state capitol and on Capitol Hill. Our
Lobby 101 seminars walk you through the details of how bills become
laws and how you can work with legislators to be an effective citizen
      lobbyist.

To RSVP for the Lobby 101 events: www.hsus.org/calendar look for the

      2. Gather at the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix for Humane Lobby Day

Please join us for this exciting opportunity to meet directly with
your elected official or their staff about legislation that will
significantly impact animals. This event is free of charge, but an
R.S.V.P. is requested to attend. Lend your voice for animals and make

      Arizona State Capitol

1700 West Washington, 2nd floor conference room

      Phoenix, AZ

In order to prepare you for your meetings, we will spend some time
that morning giving you tips for lobbying and an overview of pending
animal legislation in Arizona. Then you will go with any others in
your district to meet with your legislators and let them know about
your support of humane legislation. After the individual meetings, we
will reconvene as a group for one big meeting! with the Governor's
      office.

Face to face meetings with your elected representatives are one of the
most effective ways to get involved and make a concrete difference in
the lives of animals. Feel free to bring a friend and pass this
information on to others who might like to join us.

      3. The Humane Society of the United States Monthly Meetup groups

Another great way to get involved is to attend the monthly Meetups in
the Phoenix area. Meet with other local animal protection advocates
to discuss current issues affecting animals. Each meeting provides
attendees with legislative updates, news on current events, and ways
to take action for the animals.
