Caught your post and yes, there are some folks out here in California
who do Punitive Expedition/Border Duty reenactment. We did an in
Columbus, New Mexico to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Pancho
Villa's raid on Columbus. We're looking to do it again this year around
March 9 (which is the date of the raid).
Some sort of event in Douglas might be interesting, gives us another
excuse to get some use out our pre-WWI gear! :-)
Feel free to email me off-line.
Troy--- are there any Border Duty / Mexican Revolution era (1910 to
re-enactors out there who would be interested in doing a memorial event
Douglas, AZ on the commemoration of the centennial of the Border Duty /
Revolution? There are several MX Revolutionaries, MX Federal Soldiers
American Soldiers of Fortune / Mercernaries / Revolutionaries or
you please--- buried in Douglas in un-marked graves and we want to mark
graves and have a memorial. We have plenty of time to prapare but this
would be a major event for the re-enactor community. many people here on
both sides of the border are very interested in seeing this happen.
