The Arizona Historical Society Museum at Papago Park invites you to become a part of the 4th Annual Living History Rendezvous, Saturday, October 22, 2005 from 10am to 4pm at the museum.
The Living History Rendezvous is a gathering of Arizona ’s best living history interpreters from all corners of the state. Living Historians will set up camp around the museum grounds, tell their stories, and describe their role in Arizona ’s history. We welcome other museums, historical societies, groups and individuals who would like to participate by having informational tables and/or would like to offer demonstrations of skills and crafts related to Arizona ’s history.
There will be a Children’s Pavilion, where youngsters can do activities and make crafts that reflect on Arizona history.
This is also an excellent opportunity for teachers to see what local museums have to offer, meet visiting historians, take home lesson plans and classroom activities, and MORE.
If you are interested in becoming a living history interpreter or refining your current character, the museum will offer free workshops throughout the day. Topics include: researching historical material, developing a character through script writing and putting it all together to stage your character.
