Hopefully these pics go through.
AAR July 4th Pioneer Museum, Flagstaff AZ
Well it was a nice day and cool with clouds and sun with a slight breeze. Perfect for wearing uniforms. We had : Batt. B 2nd U.S. Artillery, John Yazzie as a WWII Marine Pacific Theatre, Pvt.Noah Creek as U.S.CAV, and myself as C.S. CAV. The morning was slow but we got a good group of visitors after the parade ended. Very Relaxed.
We fired the gun at 4 time slots and the last time we upped the scheduled for an approaching storm. Everyone was packed and gone or leaving by the time the rain really started coming down.
Special recognition must be made for Pvt. Creek who, at 16, was #1 Gunner, Cavalry Demonstrator, Inf. Bayonet Demonstrator ( since my Inf. people were unavailable I laid out the inf. uniform and equipment and had one of my Springfields with a straw bale for a Yankee ), and last but not least he was on the Flag detail. Undefatigueable !
It was an enjoyable and successful event. I have two more shots of us on the gun but they were mistakenly erased from my emails. I will try to get a new set mailed and forward if and when I do.
