IOTA operation 3 October, 2010

    G day all: I ll be operating /4 on Folly Island, South Carolina (IOTA NA-110) this coming Sunday morning. Anticipated time frame is from 1600Z to 1800Z - 1000

      G'day all: I'll be operating /4 on Folly Island, South Carolina (IOTA NA-110) this coming Sunday morning. 
       
      Anticipated time frame is from 1600Z to 1800Z - 1000 to 1200 local time.  I'll be on 20 meters CW (14.040 or 14.062, plus or minus some and dependant on QRM) and 17 meters CW (18.098 plus or minus some as QRM dictates) with my EFHW antenna and ATS-3B.
       
      I look forward to hearing and working many of you. 
       
      Now, it's time to get out and celebrate my 66th birthday.......GOOD beer, GOOD wine, GOOD food and a FINE XYL - life is good!

      Ooooops!!!! The time frame is 1000 to 1200 local time, 1400Z to 1600Z (was on Utah time when I did the GMT conversion when I should have been on east coast

            Sorry I missed ya, Dale - was hoping to work you and Stu, KI6J....furthest west I worked/heard was Texas (got a true 599) and New Mexico.
             
            So, not great but..FUN!  Worked 'bout 20 EUs and half dozen stateside stations from Folly Island.,  Was on the fishing pier with my Jacktite pole setting in one of the fishing rod holders  -------- think the tip of the pole was 'bout 40 feet above the salt water ..... wish I had more days and time to experiment with operating at different hours and bands but.........gotta keep movin' on down the road.
