      The Dept. of Transportation is proposing to remove the crosswalk at
      Ave. 41 and Figueroa as a traffic safety measure. However, as this
      junction is also a bus stop on the south bound side of Figueroa,
      pedestrians would then only be able to cross safely at either Marmion
      or Ave. 43 – both two blocks away. Removal of this crosswalk
      will
      give drivers even less notice of the number of pedestrians who will
      continue to cross the street at this junction.
