PROCESS FOR RECONSIDERATION: LHNC Bylaws, Article VII, Sect. E?The
Board may reconsider and amend its action on items on the agenda if that reconsideration takes place immediately following the original action or at the next regular meeting
If you would like to submit an item or topic to appear on the Agenda for the next general board meeting, please read the following:
For your desired item to be added as an agenda matter, please inform by any means convenient for you, including email, telephone, fax or in person, any member of the Executive Committee (Esther Rosas, President; Ben Wadsworth, Vice-President; Sevin, Secretary; and Frank Wada, Treasurer) in advance of the meeting.
Only items that appear on the Agenda can be acted upon by the LHNC at the regular meetings, a legal requirement. If you want something placed on the regular meeting's agenda, that should be presented first to the Executive Committee here, or no action can be taken upon it by the Board.
Try to keep agenda item submissions simple, relevant, and timely. Also do not suggest language for a topic for Discussion/Action that creates a foregone conclusion as to the outcome of any vote on a particular issue.
Again, please send your agenda request(s) to any member of the Executive Committee. It is important that all matters, including information regarding subject matter jurisdiction, be done in a transparent manner at public meetings so that a consensus or agreement is not reached by a majority of the voting members before the meeting.
All board members, committee members, and members of the general public are welcome to attend any and all meetings to see how the process works.
