Moving your data that way is a lot more work than using a .TBK file. Not to mention the fact that the .TBK can be used to move between Windows, Linux, and Mac

If you never created .p12 files this is true. However, I have consistently moved from computer to computer and Windows OS version to version without using .p12

Apparently you tried to restore a TQ6. To quote Rocky the Squirrel, "That trick never works". TQ5 and TQ6 files are not backups. Use them once, then discard
