3095Re: [ARRL-LOTW] still my earliest LoTW qso/qsl
- Aug 1, 2006I guess a lot of activity on LoTW today is forcurrent ops. I have uploaded files for differentvariations of my call W7LPF since 1977 - the70's are nil - - I was, and still may upload filesthat I have back since starting out WN7ZQV in1955 - but just seeing the results of my typingin close to 25K logs from W7LPF/DU2 ops78-81, I really don't think it is worth the time. Icontinually get notification of hits for DU2 fromthe E-QSL site though. Still have the logs forW7ZQV/KG6 also to upload - but right now Iam trying to catch up on logs that I ''found'' onCD's that I had copied when I was switching pc's- - It sure was a lot easier and more time wasspent on-the-air when it was paper logs andno pc's!!Progress is great - but what enjoyment does onget when a computer does 'everything' for them, and they can just sit and watch the monitor. And I agree - LoTW is very slow, taking a long, but that is usual as was stated - first of the month, after a contest - etc.Joe----- Original Message -----From: Ben ColemanSent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 17:49Subject: Re: [ARRL-LOTW] still my earliest LoTW qso/qsl

I'm in a similar situation. I held WN8TZG/WB8TZG from February 1975-1977. No
LOTW QSLs from that period.
Nor any from my Novice/Advanced call KA8DTD from December 1979-July 1984. My
earliest LOTW QSL is with Bill in 1984. My earliest LOTW QSL that isn't Bill
is from the 1988 November SS CW.
