      A full translation of Enuma Elish ("The Babylonian Creation Epic") is now posted on the electronic
      Translations of Akkadian Cuneiform Texts (eTACT) at:

      <http://www.etana.org/abzu/fulldisplay.pl?SID=20080903288482666&code=etact&RC=54&Row=4&code=etact>

      The translation is courtesy of W.G. Lambert and is taken from pp. 37-59 of his "Mesopotamian
      Creation Stories." The full article is at pp. 15-59 in M.J. Geller and M. Schipper (eds), Imagining
      Creation (IJS Studies in Judaica 5; Brill Academic Publishers 2007).

      Visit eTACT <http://www.etana.org/etact/> for a growing number of reliable translations of Akkadian
      documents, including A. George's 11th tablet of the Gilgamesh Epic ("The Babylonian Flood" story), a
      sampling from B. Foster's volume on Akkadian literature, Before the Muses (CDL Press) and (as they
      say) much more.

      *Assyriologists* wishing to contribute translations in any genre of cuneiform documents (and in any
      modern language) may visit the eTACT website and are invited to contact the website's host: Dr.
      Cornelia Wunsch at <mail@...>.

      eTACT is a joint project of the International Association for Assyriology (IAA) and of ETANA
      (Electronic Tools & ANE Archives) hosted by Vanderbilt University. ETANA may be visited at <
