The question of the Sialk "ziggurat" is not linked to a possible fault in the translation of a farsi text. The Sialk excavation team is convinced to have found the remains of a very early mudbrick terrace which they call a "ziggurat", and this hypothesis has been published e.g. in S.M. Shahmirzadi, "The Ziggurat of Sialk" (Sialk Reconsideration Projekt Report No.1), Teheran 2002. The report has drawings and photoraphs on which you can base your own judgement.

I would take the description of Sialk's "ziggurat" with a grain (or
three) of salt. Those "automatic" translations from FArsi into English
      are sometimes less than accurate.
