According to HaAretz, Herod's tomb was likely desecrated some time
shortly after Herod's death, perhaps by zealots who took refuge there
during the revolt against Rome. An ornate sarcophagus was discovered,
but it was apparently shattered long ago.

Looking forward to anything else that comes out of the conference.

Does anyone know a more exact location of the tomb? Was it inside /
underneath the Herodium palace? Was the entrance on the side of the hill?

      Thanks,
