American Research Center in Egypt
The central mission of the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE) is
strengthening Egyptian-American cultural relations through scholarly
activities. The organization was founded in 1948 as a consortium of
American universities, museums, and individuals interested in conducting
scholarly research in Egypt. ARCE sponsors and supports research on all
phases of Egyptian civilization, from earliest times to the present. ARCE
is also committed to the preservation of Egypt's cultural heritage through
the conservation of monuments and the training of Egyptian personnel.

ARCE seeks an energetic, self-motivated, experienced professional as
Director Development. The successful candidate will be a catalyst with
vision who can create excitement and energy around ARCE's programs and
encourage others to support the organization -- persuasive, persistent,
and determined in the pursuit of the organization's fundraising goals.
The position will oversee a comprehensive development program that
includes: capital and major gifts fund raising, oversight of membership
program, foundation and corporate relations, donor cultivation and
creation of short and long-term strategic plan for fund raising.
Excellent communication, organization, and entrepreneurial skills are
required. Five years of proven results in a complex fund raising program
with demonstrated experience managing people and budgets. Masters
Degree preferred. Knowledge and passion for Egypt a plus.
The position is based in San Antonio, Texas with occasional travel to
