      The first element is a contraction or sandhi writing of la: abâ$i "may I
      not come to shame" from the verb bâ$u (CAD ba'a:$u B) "to be ashamed".
      Marduk is simply the god Marduk, addressed in the vocative. For the first
      element, see PNA 2/II, p. 647, s.v. La:-abâ$i or Lâbâ$i.
