This course is taught by correspondence and does not meet in a classroom at any particular time. Students complete assignments on their own time.

Taught by correspondence, this course introduces students to an in-depth study of Middle Egyptian, the "classical" language of ancient Egypt. Learn the fundamental structure and grammar of the language by completing the first eight lessons and exercises of "Middle Egyptian Grammar" by James Hoch.

Mail, fax, or email completed lessons to the instructor, who will correct them, answer any questions, and return the lessons by mail, fax, or email. Those who complete all course assignments will receive a certificate of course completion from the Oriental Institute.

This course begins on Monday, October 25 and continues for 16 weeks. Registration deadline: October 15.

Fee: $255 OI members/$295 non-members. Textbooks are purchased separately and are not part of the course fee.
Pre-registration is required. Call 773-702-9507 or register online using the website link below.
